THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Heavy rain is expected in the state for the next five days. A cyclone has formed over southwest Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, a low-pressure system has developed over the Bay of Bengal.
The low-pressure system that formed over the central North Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify and move over South Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh within the next twenty-four hours. Consequently, the Central Meteorological Department has issued a warning of possible moderate rainfall in Kerala for the next five days.
The Central Meteorological Department also mentioned the possibility of light rain at isolated locations in Kollam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kannur and Kasaragod districts in the next three hours.
