KOZHIKODE: The health department has released the route map of the 47-year-old who died of Nipah in Maruthonkara. His symptoms started on August 22 and he died on August 30. The first person to die of Nipah has 371 people on his contact list.


The route map is as follows:

He attended the family ceremony in Tiruvallur on 23rd August at 7 pm. On 25th August at 11 am, he visited the Grameen Bank at Mullamkunnu and reached Kallad Juma Masjid at 12:30 on the same day. On August 26, between 11 am and 1:30 am, he visited Dr. Asifali's clinic at Kuttiady. At 9:30 pm on August 28, the patient reached Iqraa Hospital, Thottilpalam. He reached the same hospital at midnight on August 29 and died in the same hospital on August 30.

Currently, 702 people are on the contact list from three Nipa cases in Kozhikode. There are 371 people in the contact list of the first deceased and 281 people in the contact list of the second person. 50 people are on the contact list of the child undergoing treatment. Two health workers have been diagnosed with the disease. Their samples were sent for testing.

Panchayat President K Sajith said there is no need to worry in Maruthonkara. Necessary restrictions have been put in place. RRTs are assigned in containment zones. Sajith also stated that those who came in contact with the deceased have been found.
