ALUVA: Police took Crystal Raj of Chengal Thiruvananthapuram, the accused in the case of molesting an eight-year-old girl in Edayapuram, to the scene of the incident and under the Aluva Marthanda Varma bridge where he was hiding, and collected evidence.
The accused was first brought to Edayapuram Chattanpuram field yesterday at 12 noon. After walking 350 meters from Chattanpuram Road through the alley near the building where the Residents' Association office is located, they reached the disused motor shed where the molestation took place. The child was kidnapped and abused here. The accused was intended to be taken to the child's home after that for evidence collection but was taken back in the police cordon when the locals protested.
At around 3:30 in the evening, the accused was taken to the bushes under the Marthanda Varma Bridge for evidence collection. The accused reached the private bus stand in an auto-rickshaw around 4:30, snuck through the back and hid on the platform next to the pillar of this bridge. Two mobile phones kept in plastic covers and a red shirt were recovered from here. The shirt was worn at the time of the abuse. It is also clear that the mobile phones are stolen. The girl who was sleeping at her home was kidnapped and abused at 2.15 am on the 7th.
