SRINAGAR: A soldier has gone missing and two soldiers were injured in the ongoing encounter with militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district for the past two days. Two soldiers were injured in a joint operation by the army and police to evacuate terrorists in the forests of Kokernag in Jammu.

Two army soldiers and a police officer were martyred in the encounter last day. There is no exact information on the number of terrorists killed. Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhanchok, and Deputy Superintendent of Police Muzamil Butt tragically lost their lives.

After searching for the terrorists, the army reached the forest of Kokorenag. At the same time, the Indian army is using advanced weapons and Heron drones to strengthen the army in the confrontations. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid tributes to the soldiers killed in the encounter in Srinagar.
