NEW DELHI: In a shocking incident, a man brutally killed his colleague who asked him to return the money she had lent him. Last day, police arrested Mohammad Zakir (45), a technical supervisor at Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi.

In the years 2018 and 2019, the accused had taken a loan of eleven lakh rupees from the clerk of the same railway station. The clerk's daughter filed a police complaint on the 8th of this month that her mother was missing. The next day, the police found the dead body of the woman near the metro station.

Police investigation revealed that the accused did not return the money to the dead woman. On the day of the incident, the woman had gone to the office and Zakir was on leave. The police tried to contact him but his mobile phone was switched off. The accused was arrested in the subsequent police investigation.

The police informed that the accused confessed to the crime during the interrogation. Zakir took the woman to Knowledge Park in Noida and killed her with a dagger. Then acid was poured on the face and body of the woman. Police recovered acid and weapons from the spot.
