THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Alencier Ley Lopez is muddled in a controversy for his chauvinist comment made during the state award ceremony. And now the flare over the remarks is not showing any sign of dousing soon, as more actors are joining the bandwagon to condemn Alencier. Actor Santosh Keezhatoor responded saying that he strongly disagrees with Alencier's remarks on the award stage.
Apart from Santosh Keezhatoor, actress and dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi and screenwriter Manoj Ramsingh expressed their protest.
“ If he has the guts to spew such bigotry at a state-sponsored ceremony, then just imagine the brazen hate he eschews for womanhood. If he had such hate for the statuette he should have left it there. Let him wait only for Oscars” Bhagyalakshmi responded.
“Alencier’s comment was idiotic and was everything against womanhood. The shocking fact is that he is still not in compunction over his remark and is happy the way it is” Bhagyalakshmi told the media.
Meanwhile, writer Manoj Ramsingh went a tad bitter in his response to the Alencier issue. Ramsingh minced no words and produced something scathing on his Facebook page.
“Mr. Alencier, I am sad that I was not there at the event to hear your speech. If such was the condition, then I would have surely stepped up to the podium to slap your face. There was no big trouble as Museum police would have surely given me bail. Shame on you Alencier, please go and consult a psychiatrist you rascal. “ Ramsingh wrote on his Facebook page.
