THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has imposed a fee for police permission for demonstrations and processions, including those of political parties. This will be implemented from October 1.

Rs 10,000 should be paid if the demonstration is at the district level. Rs 2,000 for permission to perform in police station limits and 4,000 in subdivision limits. All of these are currently free. There is no fee for government-recognized educational institutions, public libraries and scientific institutions.

A fee of Rs 50 should be paid for FIR, General Diary, Vehicle Registration Certificate, Scene Mahazar, Scene Plan, Injury Certificate, Inspection Certificate etc. to be given to insurance companies in case of an automobile accident.

1000 for verification of employees and tenants. Rs 6,070 is to be paid for making a five-day mic announcement in vehicles across the state, as against Rs 5,515 at present. At the district level, Rs 610 is to be paid for five days as against Rs 555. 365 rupees should be paid instead of 330 rupees for a 15-day mic license.

The current rate has been increased by 1.85 percent for an escort to carry money for banks and post offices. A compensatory allowance is also payable. The rate has been increased to Rs 610 for the certificate of non-involvement in crime, which was Rs 555 earlier.

CI fee of Rs 3,340

3,340 for the day service of a CI rank officer for private parties, movie shooting etc. The present rate for this is Rs 3035. Rs 4370 should be paid if it is for the night. Earlier it was Rs.3970. Rs 2250 during the day and Rs 3835 during the night for the service of an officer of SI rank. Rs 1645 and Rs 1945 for ASI and 1095 rupees and 1400 rupees for senior CPO respectively. 7280 rupees per day for a police dog. 12,130 per day to provide a police station for movie shooting. It is currently Rs 11,025.
