PALODE: There is more news into the murder of District Agri hub office employee Kochuvila native Subash Kumar( 48). His friends, lorry driver Ernakulam Mulanthuruthy native Biju (44) and JCB driver Sabin Selvarios (22) were remanded. According to Palode police, the murder was committed due to a financial dispute.

Police version: After regularly borrowing money from government employee Subhash Kumar, Biju used to buy liquor and drink with his friends. Recently, Subhash dialed Biju and asked him to return the money. However, talks got heated up and a verbal tirade took place between the two. Right after the argument, Biju reached Subhash’s house and took him to a rented place. Sabin was asked to buy the liquor and the three started drinking to sort things out. However, a dispute again popped in.

During the argument, Biju pushed Subhash on his shoulder with force, which resulted in the latter hitting his head on a window pane and getting knocked out. It is assumed that Subhash died on the spot. One week back, Biju asked for Rs 35,000 from Subhash which he denied. This also brewed up tensions between the two and paved the way for the fight.

The police stated that Subhash Kumar was brought to the rented house by Biju with the intention of killing him. Both Biju and Sabin were taken to the hospital yesterday and examined.
