In his second attempt, Olympic and world champion Neeraj secured silver with a distance of 83.80m. Jakub Valdez from the Czech Republic won the gold with a distance of 84.24 meters. Finland's Oliver Helander took the third place with a distance of 83.74 meters. Last year, Neeraj won gold in the diamond lead final competition in Zurich by throwing a distance of 88.44 meters.
