ARANMULA: Two men, accused in many criminal cases including murders in Tamil Nadu, has been arrested in Aranmula. The arrested have been identified as Madaswamy (27) and his brother Ooty Shemmari alias Subhash (25) hailing from Tirunelveli Pallikottai's North Street. They were hiding in Kozhancherry's Thekkemala.

During the inspection of migrant workers in the Aranmula police station, the officer got suspicious and interrogated hte duo in detail. Subsequently, their criminal background was revealed during the investigation conducted in connection with the Tamil Nadu Police.

Madaswamy is accused in 19 cases including three murders in Tamil Nadu. Subhash has 11 cases in his name including three murder cases, theft and extortion. Their parents have been living on rent in and around Thekemala for four years. Both of them used to sell lottery in Kozhancherry and Thekkemala while staying with them for six months. A team comprising Pathanamthitta DYS P Nandakumar, Aranmula Inspector CK Manoj and SIs Jayan and Johnson handed over the accused to the Tamil Nadu Police after interrogation.
