NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi poses with members of the old parliament building ahead of the first session in India's new parliament building. The first session of the new Parliament will begin today. A special session of the Parliament will be held and it will end on Friday. The construction of the parliament started on December 10, 2020, and was dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 28, 2023. The Parliament building is part of the Central Vista complex. The cost is Rs 13,450 crore. Bimal Patel is the architect.

The session started yesterday in the old building of Parliament. The Lok Sabha will convene at 1.15 pm and the Rajya Sabha at 2.15 pm.
