NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is mulling action against Khalistan extremists who are spreading anti-India propaganda abroad. A list of 19 persons has been prepared to take measures including confiscation of property. The move is similar to the one taken against Gurpatwant Pannu. UAPA has also been charged against these 19 people who are absconding in UK, US, Canada, Dubai and Pakistan. As part of confiscation of properties in India in their names, NIA also conducted extensive searches.
Listed Terrorists: Paramjit Singh Pamma, Kulwant Singh Mudra, Kulwant Singh Bennoor alias Kanta, Sarabjit Singh Bennoor, Gurmeet Singh alias Bagga, Dupinder Jeet, Gurpreet Singh alias Baggi, Sukhpal Singh (UK), Wadhwa Singh Babbar alias Chacha, Ranjit Singh Neeta (Pakistan), Himmat Singh, Jai Dhaliwal, Harpreet Singh alias Rana Singh, Amardeep Singh Purewal, Jappi Singh alias Harjap Singh (US), Jasmeet Singh Hakimzada (Dubai), Gurjant Singh Dhillon (Australia), Lakhbir Singh Road ( Europe, Canada), and Jatinder Singh Grewal (Canada).
Gurpatwant Pannu's house in Punjab's Chandigarh and land in Amritsar were seized by the NIA on Saturday. Pannu, who is facing 22 criminal cases including three for sedition in Punjab, had recently threatened Hindus in Canada to return to India.
