KANNUR: Municipal employee of Payyannur caught while accepting bribe. C. Biju, a resident of Parassinikadavu, who is a building inspector in the municipality, was caught by the vigilance. The arrest took place while Biju was accepting a bribe of Rs. 25,000.

Biju took the money from the complainant in front of the office while the complainant was in the car. Kannur Vigilance DySP Babu Peringeth and his team caught Biju, immediately after the complainant got out of the car.
