THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Central Meteorological Department has informed that rains will continue in the state with the formation of low pressure in the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. The depression has formed in the central-east Arabian Sea off the Konkan-Goa coast. The Central Meteorological Department has also informed that there is a possibility of the low pressure to intensify in the next 24 hours and move in the west-northwest direction.
A depression has formed over northeast Bay of Bengal and central east Bay of Bengal. During the next 48 hours, it is likely to intensify and move in a northwesterly direction and intensify again and move towards the Odisha-West Bengal coast.
In this situation, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to continue in Kerala for the next five days. The Central Meteorological Department has informed that isolated heavy rain is also possible from September 29 to October 1. Yellow alert has been issued in all districts in Kerala today and special caution has been issued in the hilly areas where there is a possibility of heavy rainfall.
