THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KSEB blacked out the Thampanoor KSRTC terminal. The fuse was pulled due to electricity bill arrears. It is reported that the electricity to the depot was cut off for half an hour due to this.
The reservation facility at the depot was disrupted by the disconnection of the electricity connection. Later, KSEB officials came and restored the electricity connection. KSEB informs that the action was taken due to arrears of Rs.41,000.
KSEB had also pulled the fuse of RTO enforcement office at Karandakkad in Kasaragod last month for non-payment of electricity bills. Office operations were disrupted due to lack of electricity. KSEB took action because the bill of Rs 23,000 was not paid even after the last date.
Similarly, the fuse of the building where the enforcement department is working in Kalpetta, Wayanad, was removed. The action was imposed on the grounds of delay in payment of the bill. Following this they took money from the emergency fund of the motor vehicle department and paid the bill. With this, KSEB restored the electricity connection.
