BEIJING: Indian athletes continue their medal hunt on the eighth day of the Asian Games. Aditi Ashok kicked off today's medal haul by winning a silver medal in golf. With this, Aditi has become the first Indian woman to win a medal in the Asian Games.
India also bagged the gold medal in the men's shooting event. Indian players Kynan Chenai, Zoravar Singh and Prithviraj Tondaiman won the gold in the men's trap team event.
India's Rajeshwari, Manisha and Preeti won silver in the women's trap team event in shooting. India's Deepika Pallikal and Harinder Pal crushed Korea 2-0 in the squash mixed doubles Pool A match.
Currently, India remains in the fourth position in the points table with 11 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze medals so far. China, Japan and Korea are in the first, second and third positions.
