KOCHI: The woman who drugged the astrologer in the lodge room and stole gold and money was arrested. Elamakara police arrested Ancia, a native of Thrissur Mannuthy. The incident took place on the 26th of last month at a lodge in Edappally, Kochi.

The lady made friends with the astrologer from Kollam through Facebook. Then Ancia called the astrologer to Ernakulam saying that her friend had a problem and she wanted to check her friend's horoscope and took a room in a lodge in Edapally. After the woman got the astrologer sedated by giving him blood pressure pills mixed in juice, she took his gold and cash.

When the accused's Facebook was checked, it was found that she had made friends with many astrologers and chatted with them. A team led by Elamakara SHO SR Saneesh arrested the woman, on the instructions of Kochi City DCP.
