NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has asked actor Ranbir Kapoor to appear in person in a case related to an online betting app. ED has summoned Ranbir for questioning on Friday. The case is related to a money laundering case against Mahadev online betting app founders Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal.

Last month, ED confiscated properties worth Rs 417 crore in connection with the case. Reportedly, Ranbir Kapoor has been paid for doing promotional activities for this app. Apart from Ranbir, some other stars are also under surveillance in the incident.

Earlier, ED had raided cities like Mumbai, Kolkata and Bhopal in connection with the case of Mahadev Watuwap app. The ED is also probing the presence of Bollywood stars at the company's success celebration and Mahadev app promoter Saurabh Chandrakar's wedding in the UAE in February this year.
