TIRUCHENDUR: Four Malayalees arrested for threatening passengers in train with a toy gun. The incident took place in the Palakkad - Tiruchendur passenger train. The Tamil Nadu police have taken four men from North Kerala into custody.

Amin Sharif (19), a native of Malappuram; Abdul Rafeeq (24), a native of Kannur; Jabal Shah (22), a native of Palakkad; and Muhammad (24), a native of Kasaragod; were taken into custody by the police at the Kodaikanal railway station yesterday afternoon. They were threatening passengers with a toy gun. They faked inserting a bullet into the gun and threatened the passengers by saying that they would shoot now and created panic. One of the passengers informed the railway control room. When the train reached the Kodaikanal Road railway station, a 20-member police team surrounded the coach in which they were travelling and took them into custody. They are being interrogated in detail. They told the police that they had reached Madurai from Palakkad and had planned to go to Ramanathapuram from there. The police have not revealed what the accused's target was.
