KOLLAM: The Ezhukone police took a youth in custody for sprinkling mud on the dough for pathiri at a hotel run by a Schedule Caste family. The youth arrested is Ananthu (32) of K S Niwas in Chittakode. The accused created the ruckus at Akshara Hotel in Radio Mukku in Paruthanpara. The incident happened yesterday. The youth who came to the hotel asking for pathiri spoke badly at the woman running the hotel.

When the woman refused to give him pathiri without paying the balance amount, he got violent and spilled the oil kept for frying and then sprinkled mud on the dough kept for making pathiri. He also insulted her in the name of her caste.

The police caught him from the premises of the house following the complaint filed. Sub inspector Aneez said that he is an accused in many cases and his name is in the rowdy list.
