THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The shooting of the Rajinikanth starrer tentatively titled Thalaivar 170 has begun in Thiruvananthapuram. Rajinikanth reached the shooting location of his new film wearing a white shirt and a mundu. The superstar reached the house at Shangumugham, where shooting began, from Hotel Hyatt where he was staying at 9 am. Fans were waiting for the superstar outside the hotel and at the shooting location. But no one had access to the shooting spot. The shooting of the film was guarded by the police and a private security team.

Filming was done after the pooja of the film. After putting on make-up, Rajinikanth came to light the lamp. Manju Warrier, who is also playing a role in the film, joined yesterday. A scene with Rajini was also shot. Rajinikanth returned to the hotel at 6 p.m.

The movie, tentatively titled Thalaivar 170 is directed by TJ Gnanavel after the super hit movie 'Jai Bheem'.Rajinikanth's first look poster of the film was also released yesterday by Lyca Productions. Rajinikanth plays the role of a police officer in the film.
