THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Principal Chief Forest Conservator (Planning and Development), D Jayaprasad has been appointed as the Chief Wildlife Warden. When Ganga Singh assumed the role of Chief Forest Officer, the position of Chief Wildlife Warden was left vacant. During Ganga Singh's training trip to Costa Rica, Jayaprasad assumed full responsibility as Chief Wildlife Warden. Jayaprasad has now been officially assigned this position on a permanent basis and the order to this effect has been issued. D Jayaprasad belonging to the 1990 batch can continue in this role until next July. He hails from Andhra Pradesh.
Additionally, a new position of Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (APCCF) has been established within the Forest Department. Seven IFS officers have been transferred. Rajesh Ravindran has been appointed as the Principal Forest Management Chief Forest Conservator, while Dr P Pukazhenti has been transferred to the role of APCCFA in charge of Finance Budget and Audit. I Chandrasekhar will serve as the APCCFA for Social Forestry and G Panindrakumar Rao will be the APCCFA for Administration.
Sanjay Kumar, Chief Conservator of Forests in the IT Department has been assigned two additional roles including that of Working Plan and Research CCF. J Justin Mohan, Chief Forest Conservator for Eco-Social and Tribal Welfare has been given additional responsibilities as the Special Officer for the Rebuild Kerala Development Program and KIFB (Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board). Conservator T Uma who currently oversees working plans and research has been appointed as the Kollam Conservator for Working Plan.
