THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The KPCC political affairs committee and executive held for the last two days decided to formulate strong protest against both central and state governments in the wake of the impending Lok Sabha elections. KPCC President K. Sudhakaran announced in a press conference that the reorganization process will be completed soon.
Agitation will highlight the Karuvannur bank scam case and the CPM's involvement in it. The protest will be extended to the rural sections of Kerala. Albeit CPM being part of the INDIA alliance, congress will not take part in any of the protests organized by CPM against the central government.
UDF Banks will not cooperate with the decision to mobilize funds from cooperative banks to help investors who have lost money in Karuvannur. In December, Congress will file a charge sheet on a constituency basis and will put the central and state governments on ‘public trial’. From October 19 to November 7, the KPCC President and the Leader of the Opposition will conduct joint district tours.
Protest marches against central government policies will be conducted during November and December months. The leaders along with other congress workers will visit all houses in Kerala to distribute the ‘chargesheet’ prepared against the state and central government.
The ‘Kerala jatha’ led by the KPCC president against the central and state governments will start from Kasaragod Manjeshwar in mid-January and conclude in Thiruvananthapuram in February.
