HWANGCHO: India has reached the Asian Games cricket final. They defeated Bangladesh by nine wickets in the semi-finals to secure their spot in the championship match.

India successfully chased down Bangladesh's target of 97 runs in just 9.2 overs while losing only one wicket. Tilak Verma played a pivotal role in this victory, scoring an unbeaten 55 off 26 balls which included six sixes and two fours. Captain Rituraj Gaekwad also contributed with an unbeaten 40 off 26 balls featuring three sixes and four fours. Together, they formed a partnership of 96 runs for the second wicket. The only wicket India lost was that of Yashaswi Jaiswal who scored 0.

Despite losing the toss and batting first, Bangladesh could only manage to score 96 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Only three Bangladeshi players reached double figures in terms of runs. Sai Kishore excelled in bowling for India taking three wickets for just 12 runs in his four overs. Washington Sundar also made a significant contribution conceding 15 runs and taking two wickets.

The top scorer for Bangladesh was Jackar Ali who scored 24 runs off 29 balls. Opener Parvez Hussain contributed 23 runs from 32 balls, while Rakibul Hassan who scored 14 runs from six balls was the third player to reach double figures.
