POTHENCODE: A 9th standard girl student was mildly injured after falling off a moving bus in Pothencode on Friday. The incident happened exactly during the evening hours of Friday at Vavarambalam. Fatima, a native of Koithurkonam and a 9th-class student of Karur Lakshmi Vilasam High School was injured in the accident.

The accident took place yesterday evening when she was going home to Mohanapuram by bus. After picking up a person from Vavarambalam, the door of the KSRTC bus suddenly opened while moving forward, which led to the accident. Fatima fell out of the door when the vehicle moved which saw the passengers shrieking in fear. The hollering forced the driver to apply the brake suddenly. This avoided further tragedy in the incident.
