PATHANAMTHITTA: Akhil Sajeev, the main accused in the Health Department recruitment case, will be produced in the Pathanamthitta CJM court today. A custody application for seven days will also be submitted to the court along with the remand report. Currently, Akhil Sajeev has been arrested in a case related to CITU fund embezzlement. The investigation got crucial evidence from the questioning of Akhil Sajeev, who was arrested from Theni yesterday morning.

According to Akhil Sajeev's statement, former AIYF leader Adv. Basit, Adv Rahees, Adv. Leninraj and Shiuroop are the main ones behind the fraud. This gang has committed fraud across the state. It is indicated that this group is also behind the impersonation in Thiruvananthapuram. It is learnt that these four will be named accused based on Akhil Sajeev's statement.

As per reports, lakhs have been transferred through Akhil Sajeev's bank account. Information is also coming out that the BJP is involved in the Spices Board fraud registered by the Pathanamthitta police. Yuva Morcha leader Rajesh was also accused in the case. Akhil Sajeev paid the money for the appointment in the Spices Board to the account of Yuva Morcha leader Rajesh. The police also found that Akhil Sajeev and Yuva Morcha leader are business partners. Pathanamthitta SP and Cantonment CI interrogated Akhil Sajeev. Two financial fraud cases have been registered against Akhil Sajeev in 2021 and 2022. Currently, there are five cases against him.
