HYDERABAD: Pakistan kickstarted their World Cup tournament in style with a decent win over the Netherlands. However, there was more for captain Babar Azam to cheer about. The Indian fans surrounded in Hyderabad stadium were head over heels for the Pak captain and were caught on camera chanting ‘Babar Babar’ many times during the game.

Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by 81 runs in the match held in Hyderabad on Friday. A video of fans chanting Babar Azam's name during a match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad is going viral.

In an interesting moment, Babar was seen blushing hearing the chants and he later beckoned fans to cheer louder which was responded appropriately by them. After the match, Babar Azam also expressed his gratitude for the support the Pakistan team received from the Hyderabad stadium.

“We are very happy with the support received from Hyderabad. Very satisfied indeed” Babar quoted.

Batting first in their opening match yesterday, Pakistan were bowled out for 286 runs in 49 overs.
