KOLKATA: A student's body was found hidden in a suitcase on Friday in Kolkata's Newtown area. Sasid Hussain, a native of Malda in West Bengal, has been identified as the deceased. The body was wrapped with a cello tape. Police have arrested two people in the incident.
Sasid was preparing for the NEET exam and lived in a rented house in the Newtown area. The father had filed a complaint with the police stating that he could not contact his son on the phone since October 5. On the basis of this, the police found Sasid's dead body. Gautham, the owner of the house where Sasid was staying on rent, and Pappu Singh, the hotel owner of the area, were arrested by the police in the incident.
As per reports, the accused have confessed to the crime. The accused killed Sasid by strangling his neck after giving him liquor. The body was then wrapped with cello tape and placed in a suitcase. The police said that the reason for the murder is not clear and the investigation is in progress.
