NEW DELHI: With mayhem continuing on the Israel-Palestine borders, the central government has warned all Indian citizens currently tangled in the Middle East conflict. Citizens are advised to be cautious and follow safety guidelines. Avoid unnecessary travel and stay in safe shelters, warned the central government.

Meanwhile, Israel has officially declared war on Palestinian extremist outfit Hamas.

“Citizens of Israel, we are at war. This is not an operation, this is war. We will win. Hamas will have to pay a heavy price," the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video message.

Israel confirmed that the attack by Hamas took place at 6:30 a.m. local time on Saturday. A woman in her sixties was killed in the attack which lasted for twenty minutes. According to reports, around fifteen people have been injured. Israel confirmed about 60 Hamas terrorists still wandering inside Israel borders.

The country's defence forces have also warned Hamas about strong retaliation. Israel's military has said it is ready for war and has deployed anti-rocket defence equipment.

The Israeli army has ordered people in southern part of the country not to leave their homes. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will soon meet with security force chiefs.

The Palestinian armed group Hamas has announced that it has launched 'Operation Al-Aqsa Flood' against Israel. Hamas commander Mohammed al-Deif announced that they would target enemy bases, military bases, and airports.
