NEW DELHI: The social media ‘poster war’ between Congress and BJP is turning egregious with every passing hour. The social media wing of Congress in Kerala shared a poster with the face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the image of Muhammad Bin Tughlaq. The sultan is said to have ordered the massacre of all the inhabitants of the Hindu city of Kannauj. This has invariably triggered new controversies with BJP demanding a ban on the congress party.

“Dear PM, if you are so eager to change the Textbooks for students, replace the Thuglaq era with your own.” Came Congress Kerala’s vile retort on Twitter.

The ‘poster war’ saw its inception after Congress shared an edited image depicting PM Modi as a ‘liar’. Later, the BJP put up a poster depicting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as Ravana. In a retort, the Congress shared a poster depicting Modi as Gautam Adani's puppet.

Meanwhile, the Congress has filed a petition against the poster circulated by the BJP depicting Rahul Gandhi as Ravana. Rajasthan Congress General Secretary Jaswant Gurjar filed a complaint in the Metropolitan Court against BJP National President JP Nadda and the party's IT cell chief Amit Malviya.
