JAIPUR: Rajasthan police have arrested three youths in connection with the death of minor sisters who committed suicide by consuming poison. The girls were found dead at dawn on Saturday in a house in Pratapgad, Rajasthan. The police's preliminary conclusion is that the girls committed suicide after being sexually assaulted by three people, including their classmates. Police have arrested the accused in the incident.
The father had filed a police complaint alleging that the accused had been harassing his daughters for the past few days. Superintendent of Police Amit Budhania told the media that three accused, including a minor boy, have been taken into custody. In the initial investigation by the police, it was found that the accused had sexually assaulted the girls and threatened them continuously.
The girls, who were two students, lived in a rented house owned by the brother of the main accused. It was there that the girls were sexually assaulted. But the father brought the children to his house in Pratapgad when he realized that the girls were not safe. The police said that the accused had asked the girls to meet them at school on Wednesday to resolve the issue. There, the accused molested the girls. The police also found that when the girls tried to inform their family, the phone was snatched from them.
