PATHANAMTHITTA: The visuals of a student being stopped on the road and attacked have surfaced. The incident happened at Kidangannoor in Pathanamthitta. Anuraj beat the 17-year-old boy for allegedly entering his car parked nearby. The police have registered a case against him.
The incident happened yesterday. While returning home from school, the boy and his friend saw a man in an inebriated condition lying unconscious in the car parked on the road. Seeing this, they looked into the car. Meanwhile, Anuraj, who was lying inside the car, came out and beat the student. Aranmula police summoned Anuraj, a native of Kidangannoor, and interrogated him after the visuals of it circulated on social media. A case was later filed against him. Child Line has also intervened in the incident.
A migrant labourer had brutally beat a sixth-class student in Kondotty for allegedly hitting his body with the tyre he was playing with. Salman Ansari (19), a native of Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested in the incident. Ashwin, son of Sunil Kumar and Vasantha, a native of Pallikkal was brutally beaten up. After the police registered a case, Salman Ansari fled home. He was arrested on October 2nd.
The incident was on September 1. The boy was beaten with the stick he used to roll the tyre. He was strangled and attacked after making him stand near the wall. The boy Ashwin's family and the migrant workers live in the same quarters in Kondotty. The boy was first admitted to a private hospital in Ferook and then to Manjeri Medical College. After the doctors of Manjeri informed the police, the Thenhipalam police registered a case and started an investigation. The boy was shifted from Manjeri to Kozhikode Medical College as the injury was serious.
