THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Roshy Augustine said that if there are any problems with the MD and the unions on administrative matters in the water authority, they will be resolved. He was reacting to Kerala Kaumudi news that Water Authority Managing Director Bhandari Swagat Ranveer Chand is quitting following a dispute with the governing and opposition unions. The minister said that the issue of MD quitting did not come before him.
The government works by taking the workers into confidence and also ensures their help in administrative matters. If there are problems, it will be discussed with the trade unions. Water authority is an organization where management and employees have to go with mutual cooperation. The employees are cooperating as much as possible despite their workload. There should not be any action on the part of anyone to cause hardship to anyone. Employee welfare is a priority. The file related to water authority pension reform is under the consideration of the finance department. The minister pointed out that the government's position is to implement the pension reform as in the past.
