THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The trajectory of India's Aditya L-1 spacecraft heading towards Lagrange Point has been corrected once again. A slight deviation in direction was corrected by the Mission Control Center in Bangalore.
The spacecraft's fuel thrusters were fired for 16 seconds during a 'trajectory correction manoeuvre.'Legrange's 1st point is 15 lakh km from Earth. Aditya's mission is to circle there and observe the sun. Aditya L-1 was launched from Sriharikota on September 2.
The Mission Control Center in Bangalore has stated that they have started studying the molecular chemical energy changes caused by light and heat rays from the sun after Aditya L-1 reached a distance of 50,000 km from the Earth. The Mission Control Center also stated that they will now start studying magnetic fluxes.
Apart from Bangalore, ISRO has control systems in Andaman and Fiji to control and monitor Aditya.
