TEL AVIV: The sister of an Israeli journalist was among those who were killed in the Israel-Hamas war. The deceased is Mapal Adam (27), the sister of Israeli television host Ma'ayan Adam. It was Ma'ayan herself who revealed about her sister's death through her social media page.

In her Instagram post, Ma'ayan wrote that Mapal Adam and her boyfriend were attending a music festival when the Islamic militants invaded the region. After militants entered the area, Mapal and her boyfriend hid underneath a truck. They remained under the truck for around 1 hour. However, they were eventually spotted by the militants, who pulled them out and shot them in an encounter style.

Roy, Mapal's boyfriend, who was shot in the back, is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Ma'ayan also shared a picture which is believed to have been the last photo clicked from Mapal's phone.

"On Saturday afternoon, in this idyllic setting Mapal, our baby, hid underneath a truck and pretended as if she were dead, she held out for hours and didn’t move until terrorists killed her execution style," Ma'ayan wrote on her Instagram page.

Meanwhile, more than 2000 persons have been killed in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. Thousands of people were injured and more than 1 lakh houses were destroyed.
