JERUSALEM: Attacks and counter-attacks continue as the Hamas-Israel war entered its fifth day. Death toll have crossed 3000. The death toll in Israel has exceeded a thousand in Hamas attacks. 2,800 people were injured. It is reported that 900 people have been killed in Gaza so far. Heavy bombing continues in Gaza. The residents of Gaza are suffering without water and food.

The Israeli military has announced that they will execute senior Hamas leaders. Israel's defense minister said Gaza will never be the same again. Israel claimed to have killed Hamas' Finance Minister Jawad Abu Shamala and politburo member Zakaria Abu Moammar in a drone strike yesterday. The Israeli army also announced that they had wrested the Gaza border from Hamas.


Meantime, the first American plane carrying weapons landed in southern Israel. The White House informed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden talked on the phone last day and assessed the situation. US military assistance was also discussed. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is planning to visit Israel. Biden reiterated that the US is with Israel. Th officials informed that 14 American citizens were killed in the Hamas attack.

Meanwhile, there was a rocket attack from Syria towards Israel. Israel's military spokesman said three rockets were fired but were intercepted and retaliated.


The other countries have stepped up evacuations of their citizens as the war escalates. Canada has declared an evacuation. Countries such as Hungary, Albania, Thailand, Mexico, Cambodia, Bulgaria and Romania are continuing to evacuate by sending military planes and special chartered flights. The Center has clarified that there is a limit to the evacuation of Indian citizens in Gaza. The center said that a plan is under consideration to bring back the Indians. There have been no official announcements regarding this. The center stated that there are 60,000 people of Gujarati origin in Israel. Indians also live in Gaza.
