PALAKKAD: The accused in the Sreenivasan murder case have filed a petition in the High Court seeking quashing of the NIA probe. The accused have approached the court alleging that the order transferring the case to the NIA is illegal. The high court will consider the petition tomorrow.
There are no charges under the UAPA in this case. The accused also said that the NIA action was politically motivated. It is illegal for the NIA to take over the case in which the final chargesheet was submitted. The plea also stated that the transfer of files from the sessions court to the NIA court was also not as per the rules.
