AHMEDABAD: Sheeja Girish, a lawyer at the Gujarat High Court has gone missing during her train journey from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. The Gujarat Police has initiated an investigation and Malayalee organizations in Mumbai are also looking into the matter.

Sheeja had been returning from Ahmedabad to Mumbai on Monday morning after a case-related visit to the Bombay High Court. She maintained phone contact with her family until she reached Vapi in Gujarat. However, after that call Sheeja ceased responding. Even upon the train's arrival in Mumbai, she could not be located. It is suspected that Sheeja went missing between Vapi and Mumbai.

Her daughter, Anugraha Nair reported that her last conversation with Sheeja took place around noon on Monday. Anugraha also disclosed that a person had threatened her mother regarding a legal case a year ago. This individual had falsely accused Sheeja before the Bar Council and subsequently visited their home to issue threats. Anugraha added that the complaint and the case are still unresolved.
