THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that zonal review meetings have become a model for public participation development and governance review. Speaking at the press conference, the Chief Minister said that the state cabinet will discuss development issues with officials.
"The government has accomplished the objective that it undertook. 697 problems need to be solved. 582 problems have been solved. The government will take action to eradicate extreme poverty. The loopholes in the Garbage Free Kerala project will be identified and expedited," the CM said.
"Efforts are being made to make Kerala a state free from extreme poverty. According to a government survey, more than 64,000 families are below the extreme poverty line. Those families will be uplifted by preparing a clear micro plan. This will be led by local bodies. Poverty will be eradicated by November 1, 2024," he said.
"11,757 houses were provided through LIFE Mission. The first phase of the waterways will be completed by March. National Highway development will be completed and the Wayanad-Kozhikode tunnel will start in March. Keraleeyam will start on November 1," he added.
