VADAKKENCHERRY: A young man’s decapitated head was dragged for a shocking 18km by a train on Thursday. Thekkumkara native Sarath(34) jumped in front of the Rajya Rani - Kochuveli Express train on early Thursday morning, in a purported suicide attempt.

When RajyaRani-Kochuveli Express reached Thrissur station, the passengers found the young man's head on top of the train's engine guard. The shocked passengers alerted the railway police and an inquiry was conducted. In the investigation, the dismembered body parts of the youth were found splattered on railway tracks near the Vadakkenchery Enkakkad railway gate. The police also recovered a suicide note.
