KOCHI: A Facebook account, apparently a fake one, of IG P Vijayan, has surfaced. Vijayan himself has lodged a complaint in connection with the incident.

Infopark police registered a case on the basis of his complaint. According to the complaint, the fake page came to notice on Wednesday morning. The account also has his photo as profile picture. The complaint given to the City Police Commissioner was forwarded to the Infopark Police.

Similar incident took place a few years backs when a 17-year-old school student from Rajasthan was arrested for creating a fake profile in the name of IG P Vijayan and extorted money.
