THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the government has transferred the collectors of Pathanamthitta, Kollam, Alappuzha, Malappuram, Kannur and Kozhikode. When the Vizhinjam International Port is to be inaugurated on October 15, Adeela Abdullah IAS, the managing director has been transferred from the post. Instead, Divya S Iyer, the district collector of Pathanamthitta, has been given the charge.

Divya is presently serving as the project director of solid waste management. Alappuzha district collector Haritha V Kumar has been appointed as the director of mining and geology department. John V Sanuel, director of ground water department, will replace her. A Shibu, executive director of social security mission, will replace Divya S Iyer in Pathanamthitta.

Malappuram collector V R Premkumar has been appointed as panchayat director. He replaces food safety commissioner V R Vinod. Afsana Parveen, Kollam collector will be in charge of food safety commissioner. She will also have the additional charge of chief executive officer of Smart City Thiruvananthapuram.

Devidas, director of mining and geology department, will be the new Kollam collector. Entrance exam commissioner Arun K Vijayan has been appointed as Kannur collector and Snehil Kumar Singh, staff officer of chief secretary has been appointed as Kozhikode collector.
