PALAKKAD: Excise officials have arrested a man who used to sell drugs under the guise of running a burger shop near Victoria College in Palakkad. The arrested person has been identified as Rasool, who runs the burger shop named, 'Heavenly Blends'. The Excise team also seized a huge collection of drugs from the flat of the accused. The drugs were seized during a raid jointly conducted by the Range party led by Palakkad Range Inspector Rajesh, the Palakkad Circle party and the cyber cell based on the confidential information received by Excise Inspector Naufal.
The Excise officials had received information that Rasool had been selling drugs to college students and others under the guise of the burger shop. After receiving the information, the Excise team conducted the raid at the flat in a housing complex where Rasool and other workers were living. During the raid, the Excise team found a huge collection of drugs in two rooms inside the flat. A total of 5.5 kilograms of ganja and 110 grams of methamphetamine were recovered from the rooms of the accused.
