THRISSUR: A policeman was found hanging in the police station. The dead is Geethu Krishnan of Thrissur Town West Station. The body of Geethu Krishnan, a native of Kollam, was found in the rest room of the station at around 7.15 in the morning.

Reports said that he had financial liablities and was under severe mental stress. It is also said that Geethu Krishnan had not gone home for a long time.

A police driver had recently committed suicide in Ernakulam. CPO Joby Das, the driver of Kalamassery AR camp, was found hanging in the house on October 4. A suicide note was also recovered. The note said that his colleagues are responsible for his death and should not allow them to see his body. The authorities have ordered a departmental inquiry into the incident.
