It evokes astonishment to hear that the Tamil Nadu government has banned all early morning shows in the state for actor Vijay’s anticipated ‘Leo’. Meanwhile, in neighbouring Kerala, there is a fan show allowed at 4 am in every district and good lord; the tickets are being sold like hotcakes. The ticket booking started early on Sunday morning.
As of now, more than 2 lakh 55 thousand tickets have been sold in the state alone. From Kerala, Leo has taken a pre-release collection of Rs 3.82 crore on the first day of booking. Meanwhile, the actual number of tickets sold in many districts in Kerala is yet to arrive. This can result in unprecedented ticket sales numbers, breaking all other erstwhile records. It is assumed that the pre-release collection from Kerala alone will surmount Rs 5 crore. Most tickets were sold from Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Idukki and Kannur districts.
