THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC President K Sudhakaran MP criticized that Pinarayi Vijayan did not show the courtesy displayed by Minister Ahamed Devarkovil in commemorating former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at the inauguration of Vizhinjam port. The Ports Minister also recalled former Chief Ministers K Karunakaran, EK Nayanar and VS Achuthanandan who had made contributions to the port project, but the former Chief Ministers were completely ignored everywhere, including in the advertisements, by the Pinarayi Vijayan government. Sudhakaran said that there is no point in expecting more from the Chief Minister who is only used to snobbery.

The Chief Minister is accusing the international lobby and the commercial lobby of working against the port project, but it was Pinarayi Vijayan himself who tried to eliminate the Vizhinjam port project by any means. He tried to eliminate the Vizhinjam project by alleging corruption of Rs. 6000 crores in the Rs. 5000 crore project, hunting Oommen Chandy by putting an Inquiry Commission against him, calling it piracy and holding agitations. It must be suspected that Pinarayi Vijayan acted as a tool of the international lobby and commercial lobby. Sudhakaran also alleged that Pinarayi Vijayan was the first accused in the lobbying transaction.

When Adani's men circled Oommen Chandy and other leaders, the UDF leaders were careful not to fall into it. Sudhakaran demanded that their leaders should respond to whether CPM has shown such vigilance. It has been repeatedly demanded that the Vizhinjam port project be named after Oommen Chandy. Pinarayi Vijayan is the unluckiest Chief Minister that Kerala has ever seen, without the capacity to formulate a single plan of his own, destined to inaugurate the projects initiated by the Oommen Chandy government. He is the Chief Minister who is finding peace by re-inaugurating the projects initiated and inaugurated by Oommen Chandy. The projects like Kochi Metro, Kannur Airport and Vizhinjam Port are all ideas of UDF. Sudhakaran also pointed out that the Pinarayi government could not devise or implement a plan on its own.
