THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a brutal incident, a youth slit his throat after stabbing his lover in Thiruvananthapuram. Ramya Rajeev, a native of Nemom, was stabbed by her lover Deepak.

After stabbing Ramya, Deepak tried to commit suicide by slitting his throat. It is reported that Ramya's condition is critical. Both are undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

According to reports, Ramya, a nursing graduate was working in a supermarket in Nemom after finishing her studies. It is reported that Ramya and Deepak were in love for four years. Rajeev came to Ramya's house this morning and asked her to come with him. When Ramya refused, he took a knife from the house and attacked Ramya. After stabbing Ramya he slit his throat. It is reported that Deepak's condition is satisfactory. Nemom police have registered a case and started an investigation.
