THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police stopped chief minister's scientific advisor M C Dathan. Though Dathan was stopped by the police without identifying him, his anger was towards the media who came to help him. Don’t you have any job, you people go and beg, responded Dathan, who gives advice to the chief minister.

The incident was before the barricade placed in front of the annex building at the Secretariat.

Dathan, who reached the secretariat in between UDF’s blockade, had to wait in front of the barricade placed by the police. At this time, the journalists told the police that he is the chief minister’s advisor and should allow him to go. When they understood their mistake, senior police officials allowed him to go. Then, when the media asked if there was any difficulty, Dathan shouted, ‘don’t you have any other job.. go and beg.’
