TEL AVIV: The airstrike on the Al-Ahli hospital in Gaza, which resulted in the death of more than 500 people, has led to worldwide protests. Countries including France, which were on Israel's side, strongly condemned it. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief and demanded that those behind the airstrike be brought to light.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden, who is visiting Israel, said that an agreement has been made with conditions to bring aid to the people of Gaza through the Egyptian border. It is Israel that usually takes the decision to open and close this border.

Denying its role in the attack, Israel stated that the explosion took place when the rocket attack by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the second most powerful terrorist organization in Gaza, missed its target. According to the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), the rocket fired against Israel from the cemetery behind the hospital went on to hit the hospital premises. It released an audio recording as evidence. The IDF also released a video of the rocket coming from behind the hospital.

Meanwhile, Hamas is firm on its stand that the missile attack was carried out by Israel. Muslim countries are also in the same position. US President Joe Biden said the attack was carried out by the opposition. Following this, Joe Biden's visit to Jordan was cancelled. King of Jordan Abdullah Ibn Al Hussein Al Hashmi stated that he was not ready for the meeting with the US President. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas also took the same stand. With this, the effort to rescue foreigners, including Americans, from Gaza through Egypt may get delayed. The United States vetoed the ceasefire resolution brought by Brazil at the UN.

Hospital in pool of blood

The rocket landed in the parking lot of the hospital complex. Vehicles exploded. Buildings next to the hospital collapsed. It will also include the building where the operation theatres were located. The body parts of people were lying scattered among the ruins of the buildings. Many of the recovered bodies were unrecognizable. The limbs and head were scattered. More than two hundred people were injured.
