KASARGOD: A student met with a tragic end after his head hit an electric post while travelling in a bus. The dead has been identified as Manvith (15), son of G Sunil Kumar of Mannippady Ganesh Nagar Housing Colony and Prajitha. He was a student of Chemmanad Jamath Higher Secondary School.

The incident happened last evening at Karanthacaud. The student met with the tragic end while returning to Madhur in Supreme Bus. The bus was overcrowded. Eyewitnesses said the student’s head hit on the electric post when the bus reached Karanthacaud.

Though Manvith, who was bleeding profusely was taken to a hospital in Kasargod, his life could not be saved. His body has been shifted to the mortuary of Kasargod General Hospital for post mortem. Ansith is his brother.
